- Faa'a International (PPT) is about 5 km from Papeete; transfers are by Le Truck bus or taxi. The airport has 4G from Vini. French Polynesia is a French territory but is not covered by EU roaming, so verify your plan, and note data costs are far higher than mainland France.
- On the subway and rail
- Papeete moves by Le Truck buses and taxis; the waterfront and the market are walkable. There is no metro. Coverage holds across the town and the north Tahiti resort areas. Inter-island flights and ferries to Moorea and Bora Bora depart from here.
- Free public WiFi
- Hotels, the Marché de Papeete (the central market) and cafes provide WiFi. PPT airport has terminal WiFi. Connectivity is functional in town, with resort WiFi taking over on the outer islands where data is pricey.
- Coverage in the city

- The overwater resorts provide guest WiFi, the main connectivity for most visitors given the high data costs. Vaitape cafes offer WiFi. Connectivity is concentrated around the village and the resort motus.
