Digicel Tonga runs 4G across the capital, the Royal Palace area and the Vuna Wharf. The drive on Taufa'ahau Road to the airport and the coastal route to the Mapu'a 'a Vaea blowholes stays connected throughout the main island.
Neiafu town, the protected harbour and the Port of Refuge are covered. Whale-watching boats during humpback season stay connected close to the inner islands; the deeper Mo'unga'one and outer Vava'u group anchorages drop signal.
Pangai (Lifuka's main town) and the Sandy Beach Resort area have basic Digicel 3G/4G. The smaller outer Ha'apai islands like Uoleva and Foa have intermittent service; ferry crossings between islands drop coverage mid-channel.
Ohonua, Eua's main village, has functional signal. The ferry from Nuku'alofa stays connected for the first half of the crossing; mid-channel briefly drops. The Eua National Park rainforest and the Vai'akoi cave area run on satellite/lodge only.

- Nuku'alofa moves by local buses and taxis; the waterfront and the market are walkable. There is no metro. Coverage holds across the capital and along Taufa'ahau Road to the airport and the blowholes. International bandwidth is limited, so speeds are modest.

- Hotels, guesthouses and the Talamahu market area provide WiFi, which may be more reliable than cellular for anything beyond messaging. TBU airport has basic WiFi. Connectivity is concentrated in the capital.
