MTN Cameroon and Orange Cameroon both run 4G across Bonanjo, Akwa and the port district. MTN has the widest national footprint; congestion is real in central Douala during business hours.
Central Yaoundé, the Bastos diplomatic quarter and the Mvog-Mbi market area are well covered. The drive on the A3 between Douala and Yaoundé stays connected at the main towns; brief drops occur on the Edéa-Eséka stretch.
Kribi beach town, the Lobé Falls and the Campo Ma'an buffer zone are covered. The drive south to the Equatorial Guinea border thins out, with MTN the most consistent on the coastal road.
Limbe town, the botanical gardens and the Buea trailhead at the base of Mount Cameroon have functional 4G. The trek up to the summit, the Mann's Spring camp and the deeper forest zones drop coverage on the ash slopes.
Bamenda town and the Ring Road towns have signal at the centres. The longer drives through the highlands and the Anglophone-region rural areas have intermittent service; security situations affect operator continuity in parts of the region.
Maroua and Garoua have functional MTN coverage. Waza National Park has signal at the entrance and the camp; deeper game-drive routes, the Mandara Mountains and the Lake Chad border zones run on satellite and ranger radio only.
