Ucell (the largest carrier), Beeline Uzbekistan and Mobiuz (UMS) all run 4G with 5G appearing across central Tashkent, the Amir Timur Square and the Chorsu Bazaar district. The Tashkent Metro has cell coverage on the Chilonzor and Uzbekistan lines including the famously decorated stations.
Samarkand's Registan ensemble, the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis and the Gur-e-Amir mausoleum are all fully covered by Ucell and Beeline. The drive on the M37 from Tashkent stays connected; high-speed Afrosiyob trains keep signal on most of the route.
Both UNESCO old towns are fully covered at the major monuments (Po-i-Kalan, Ark Fortress, Itchan Kala). The drive between them across the Kyzylkum Desert via the M37 has signal at the main caravanserai stops; the deeper desert routes thin out.
Nukus and Moynaq (former Aral Sea fishing port) have basic Ucell coverage. The ship cemetery at Moynaq has signal at the visitor area; the longer routes toward the receded Aral shoreline and into the Aralkum Desert drop coverage entirely.

- On the subway and rail
- Samarkand moves by taxis, the Yandex Go ride app and marshrutkas; the area around the Registan is walkable. There is no metro. The Afrosiyob and Sharq high-speed trains link it to Tashkent and Bukhara. Coverage holds across the historic centre and the main monuments.

- Hotels, the cafes around the Registan and the Silk Road Samarkand resort complex provide WiFi. SKD airport has terminal WiFi. Connectivity is easy around the tourist core, with a working SIM covering the day trips.
- Coverage in the city
